 About Charter Oak Behavioral Health

The Charter Oak Health Plan, proposed by Governor M. Jodi Rell and approved by the General Assembly, is one step towards providing Connecticut adults with access to quality, affordable health insurance.

The goal of the Charter Oak Health Plan is a pioneering strategy to provide universal access to affordable health care coverage to Connecticut uninsured adults, ages 19 to 64, of all incomes. It's the first time every uninsured adult in Connecticut can obtain quality, affordable health insurance, and it costs as little as $75 per month in premiums, depending on your income.
